AIRDO Kids

Conditions of use

This service is available to passengers between the ages of 5 and 11 who are not accompanied by a passenger who is at least 12 years old.
This service is only available as long as the child is dropped off by a guardian at the departure airport and picked up by a guardian at the arrival airport.

Notes:

• If we anticipate that the airplane might be diverted to an airport other than the intended destination due to reasons such as severe weather, we may refuse to allow the child to board.

Advance seat selection

You may select a seat when you reserve and purchase a ticket.

Notes:

• Upon arrival, children who are flying with the AIRDO Kids service will be the last to disembark with the assistance of the cabin crew. For that reason, we recommend selecting a seat toward the rear of the airplane.
• For safety reasons, children cannot be seated in an emergency exit row seat.
• Selected seats are subject to change due to changes in aircraft or other reasons.
• There is a limit to the number of seats which can be selected in advance.

Procedures at the airport of departure

• Please carry out these procedures at the airport counter at least 30 minutes prior to departure. (You cannot use the self service check-in machines.)Go to the airport counter early during the summer break and other times when the airport is incredibly busy.
• Guardians who are dropping off children must fill out an Application and Consent Form with the required information--one for each child.Please note that if you download and print off the Application and Consent Form in advance and fill it out with the required information prior to visiting the airport, the boarding day procedures will go more smoothly.
• For security reasons, only one guardian may drop off a child at the boarding gate.

Passengers with a children's mobile phone

• Depending on the model, certain mobile phones, such as those intended for children, are set to automatically turn on and transmit location information and other data even when they are turned off.Please check the instructions for any children's mobile phone or similar device prior to boarding and make sure it is completely turned off.

Pre-boarding Service

Child passengers using the AIRDO Kids service are allowed to board before the other passengers.If you wish for your child to board before the other passengers, please arrive at the boarding gate around 30 minutes prior to departure and inform a staff member.

Notes:

• In some cases, child passengers using the AIRDO Kids service might board last.
• Pre-boarding might not be available, depending on flight status or other factors.

Arrival airport

• A staff member will escort the child to the arrival lobby.
• The guardian who is picking up the child must sign in upon arrival.
• The guardian who is picking up the child should wait near the AIRDO Kids sign in the arrival lobby.
