If you would like to confirm a reservation, please provide the flight number, planned date of boarding, and passenger name or reservation number.

Reservation Changes and Cancellations

Applying

We accept customer applications to change or cancel reservations. Please complete the procedure before the scheduled departure of the reserved flight.

Notes:
  • Even in the case of flights being canceled or delayed due to bad weather, aircraft breakdowns, or similar reasons, customers must still contact us to change or cancel their reservation.
  • If you do not change or cancel your reservation prior to the departure of the reserved flight, you will not be able to change that airplane ticket to another flight even if it was a fare that allowed reservation changes. You must get a refund and then purchase a new airplane ticket.

  • Airplane tickets for flights that do not allow reservation changes cannot be changed after purchase.

Reservation Cancellations

Fares that allow reservation changes

If you wish to cancel a reservation after you have purchased the airplane ticket, we can change it to an open ticket (non-reserved) that can be used up to the expiry date of the airplane ticket, or we can provide a refund.

Notes:
  • NWhen using an open ticket, if the fare amount at the time of boarding differs from that of the airplane ticket you possess, you will be charged or refunded the difference.
  • A prescribed fee is charged at the time of the refund.

If you wish to cancel a reservation after you have purchased the airplane ticket, we can provide a refund.

About Refunds

Applying for Refunds

A refund must be requested during the airplane ticket's period of validity or within 30 days* starting the day after it expires.
If a reservation has already been made, you must cancel the reservation before the scheduled departure of the reserved flight.
*Applicable to tickets whose validity period expires on or after June 20, 2018, tickets will expire within 10 days before June 19, 2018.

Fees

A prescribed refund fee and cancellation fee will be charged.

Notes:
  • Travel fares (airplane tickets for a group, package tours, etc.) should be processed at the travel agency where it was purchased.
  • Refunds cannot be processed on the Internet on the day after the planned date of boarding or later.
  • Refunds cannot be processed on the Internet for reservations that include one or more flights already boarded.

Refund Procedure

An authentication code (e.g. your confirmation number or the credit card used at the time of purchase) will be required.

If you paid by credit card

The refund will be applied to the credit card account you used to pay for the ticket. The number of days it takes to receive the refund will differ according to the day we approve the refund procedure as well as the timing of the credit card company's cut-off dates and refund processing procedure.

Note:
  • In some cases, the charge for the ticket will be processed at the same time as the refund, and only the refund fee will be charged to the credit card. However, in some cases, you will first be charged the cost of the ticket, and then the fare amount minus the refund fee will be returned in a later month. For more details, contact your credit card company.

If you paid with cash

You will be refunded with cash or a deposit to your bank account.
If you prefer to be refunded via bank transfer, the refund procedure can be handled by the Reservation and Information Center or on the internet.
In general, it takes up to 14 days after the refund procedure for the refund to be deposited in the customer's account.

Notes:
  • Refunds may take more than 14 days at certain times, such as over the New Year's holidays.
  • This may not apply if a financial institution has system downtime, or if multiple flights are canceled due to bad weather or similar issues.
  • The customer is responsible for the transfer processing fee required to carry out the bank account transfer.

If you paid using a Shareholder Complimentary Discount Fare

If you used a Shareholder Complimentary Discount Fare, then we will process your refund at an airport counter, and in conjunction with the refund, we will issue you a Complimentary Shareholder's Ticket Proof of Non-Usage.

About Fees

Refund fee

Regardless of the cancellation date, there is a refund fee of JPY 430 per route.

  • The amount is the same for adults and children.

A cancellation fee is charged for changes to reservations.

* If you cancel after the departure of the reserved flight and you receive a refund within the refund period, you will only be refunded the Passenger Facility Charge.

Reservation Changes and Refunds Under Special Circumstances

If a customer is unable to travel due to an illness or for a similar reason, the following special service is available. For more details, contact the Reservation and Information Center.

  • We will allow the reservation to be changed to another flight within 30 days starting the day after the planned date of boarding.
  • No refund fee or cancellation fee will be applied to the reservation change or refund.
Notes:
  • If your reservation is complete, you need to cancel it before the scheduled departure of the reserved flight.
  • In the case of a reservation change or refund due to illness or similar, you will be required to submit a medical certificate or similar from a doctor.
  • Customers who prefer to receive their refund via bank transfer are responsible for paying the transfer processing fee.
