Forgotten Airplane Tickets

In order to board your flight, you will be required to purchase a replacement airplane ticket* at the airport of departure. When you do so, you should receive a certificate of double purchase.

*Fares applicable to replacement airplane tickets: One Way Fare, Child Fare, Disability Discount Fare, and Special Passenger Fare

Refund period Please get a refund for the forgotten airplane ticket by the refund expiry date. The refund expiry date is calculated as 30 days starting on the day following the airplane ticket period of validity.
Required documents
  1. The forgotten ticket
  2. The certificate of double payment (copy not accepted)
  3. The credit card used to purchase the replacement airplane ticket, if one was used
Refund method You will receive the refund, with the refund fee deducted, at the AIRDO counter or at the travel agency where you purchased the airplane ticket.
Fees

A refund fee of JPY 440 (tax included) per ticket will be required.

Note: • If you cannot provide a certificate of double payment, a prescribed cancellation fee will be charged.

Loss of tickets

Before the refund expiry date for the lost airplane ticket, please get a lost ticket notice issued at the travel agency where you purchased the ticket, or at an AIRDO counter. We will investigate whether the lost airplane ticket has been used for boarding or a refund.

If the ticket is found If the ticket is not found
Refund period Please carry out the refund procedure within 3 months following the refund expiry date for the lost airplane ticket. If you do not carry out the procedure within the period above, it will be treated in the same manner as a ticket that has not been found. After 3 months have passed since the refund expiry date for the lost airplane ticket, the Lost Airplane Ticket Support Center will notify you (by post) in writing about their decision regarding the possibility of a refund. A refund can only be provided if the ticket has not been used (for boarding or a refund).

Refund method You will receive the refund, with the refund fee deducted, at the AIRDO counter or at the travel agency where you purchased the airplane ticket. (This can only be done at the AIRDO counter if you purchased the replacement airplane ticket with a credit card.)

The refund, with the refund fee and investigation fee deducted, will be deposited via bank transfer in the bank account you specify about 1 month after you send in the required documents.

  • Notes: • We will notify you in writing regarding the transfer amount on a later date.
  • • The customer is responsible for paying the transfer processing fee.

  • • The instructions here regarding forgotten and lost airplane tickets apply only to AIRDO airplane tickets.
  • • Lost ticket notices and certificates of double payment cannot be reissued. You need these documents in order to receive a refund, so please keep them somewhere safe.
