About Enhanced Security Measures at the Airport
(Screenings before boarding for outerwears, shoes and explosives are conducted more carefully.)

Under the direction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, screenings before boarding for outerwears, shoes and explosives are enhanced, and additionally, unmanned small flying objects (drones) are prohibited to be carried on to the cabin during the period of Rugby World Cup.
These measures may make the security gate crowded, so please come to the airport with enough time.

【Contents of enhanced measures(permanent measures)】

1.

Outerwear screening
Coats, jackets, etc. are subject to X ray screening.（You are required to take them off）

2.

Shoes screening
Boots, safety shoes, thick-soled and ankle covering shoes are all subject to X ray screening.
（Shoes which are easily taken off are recommended when you come to the airport）

3.

Screening of explosives, etc.
Screening of explosives and prohibited items is enhanced. You may be randomly required to undergo a pat-down screening or have your body wiped with sweeping paper.

4.

Prohibition of carrying drones on to the cabin
Unmanned small flying objects (drones) are prohibited to be carried on to the cabin during the period of Rugby World Cup 2019, because operating them may cause the danger of the aircraft operation and people.

• Drones can be transported as checked-in baggage in the cargo room, if they satisfy predetermined conditions such as the type and capacity of batteries.
