Flight Delays and Cancellations

This page provides information on what to do if a flight delays or a cancellation has occurred (or is going to occur) due to bad weather, aircraft breakdowns, etc.

Bad Weather and Similar Circumstances Circumstances caused by typhoons, snow, and other bad weather or earthquakes, flooding, and other unavoidable events
Airline Circumstances Circumstances caused by aircraft breakdown, system malfunction, and similar problems, as determined by AIRDO

Alternate Flights

  • If you wish to change your reservation, we will help you switch to an alternate flight.
  • Please reserve an alternate flight by contacting the Reservation and Information Center, or an AIRDO airport counter.
  • You can change to a flight with seats available within 30 days following the planned departure date of the original reserved flight.
  • You must complete the procedure within 10 days following the planned departure date of the original reserved flight.

If you switch to a date that requires a different number of points for an award ticket, it will be handled as follows.

If more points are required
We will not charge the difference in points to make up the shortfall.

If fewer points are required
We will return the excess points.

Notes:
  • The period of validity will be extended only for the returned points.

  • Points that have expired as of the time the refund procedure takes place cannot be refunded.
Notes:
  • This applies to instances in which you change to a flight that is within 30 days following the planned departure date of the original reserved flight. If the airplane ticket's period of validity is longer and you switch to a flight that is 31 days or more later, the difference will need to be charged or refunded.
Bad Weather and Similar Circumstances Switch to an alternate flight with AIRDO.
Airline Circumstances Switch to an alternate flight with AIRDO or with another airline specified by AIRDO.

Refunds

  • If you wish to receive a refund, please contact the Reservation and Information Center, or an AIRDO airport counter to carry out the refund procedure.
  • You can carry out the refund procedure up until the planned departure date of the original reserved flight from your My Page.
  • Refunds can be requested 30 days starting the day after the reserved flight date.
  • You will not be charged the refund fee (200 points).
  • The period of validity for the returned points is as follows.
  • Be aware that it may take several days for the points to be returned.
