Security Inspections before Boarding

Updated on March 14, 2022

Thank you for choosing AIRDO.

Under the direction of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, security inspections are now enhanced for such items as outer clothes, shoes and explosives, as a measure against terrorism targeting aircrafts. This enhancement may cause required time for security inspections to be much longer. So, please come to the security gate in advance with enough time.

Moreover, having security inspections before boarding was mandated in accordance with Civil Aeronautics Law of Japan on March 10,2022.
Penetrating the security gate without having the inspection may be subject to imprisonment of up to 1 year or fines not more than JPY500,000. So, please follow the directions of security inspectors or other airport staff, and be sure to undergo security checks.

Hurtful items as weapons and dangerous goods are prohibited to bring into the aircraft by Civil Aeronautics Law of Japan.
(Violation of the regulation may be subject to imprisonment of up to 2 years or fines not more than JPY1,000,000.)
Please  check your baggage before your travel and make sure if you have or not any items prohibited(※1) or restricted(※2)to bring into the aircraft.
(※1)Prohibited items ・・・ items which are prohibited to bring into the cabin such as edge tools like cutter blades, carpenter tools and their imitation goods
(※2)Restricted items ・・・ items which are restricted to transport by an aircraft such as spray cans, hair curling irons with built-in lithium batteries and mobile batteries, etc.
