Have you ever seen "Night Diamond Dust"? Diamond dust is usually seen when vapor in the atmosphere freezes and sparkles in the sunlight. It is only visible in the daytime, and only on very clear days. However, there is also an event where visitors can see illuminated diamond dust dancing in the night sky as well. This is "Diamond Dust in Kawayu."
Every year the Kawayu hot spring area puts on a limited time "Diamond Dust Party." This event is only possible in the Kawayu hot spring area with its constant spring vapor flow and its constant below zero temperatures. The sight of diamond dust sparkling as it rises into the night sky is a magical beauty too intense for words.
In addition to diamond dust, the "Diamond Dust in Kawayu" event also displays snow and ice candles. Just strolling around the area is romantic. Of course freezing temperatures are expected, but a "famous hot spring" await as a reward for withstanding the cold. The Kawayu hot spring is a famous northern hot spring that has been popular as a bathing locale in the north east region of Hokkaido from days of old. Experience the exquisite sensation of beautiful scenery unique to intensely cold areas and a warmth unique to a hot spring district.
