Traditionally, fireworks are a common sight in the summer in Japan. However, fireworks in a cold winter night sky is also a must see. Furthermore, locations without city lights is the best spot to view fireworks. The Akan Ice Festival/Ice Love Akan “Winter Fireworks” satisfies all the ideal winter conditions for fire works. Viewing fireworks in a clear minus 20 degree night sky is an entirely different experience to that in the big cities. Fireworks illuminate the night sky like brightly sparkling gem stones.
